Soccer Program Registration

Q: How do I register?

A:You can register at any of our registration dates, or print out a copy of our registration form (in duplicate) from the Sign Up! link here on our website, and mail both copies to the WAC P.O. Box on the form. Include the registration fee (and late fee if applicable).

Q: How do I know when/where the registration times are?

A: There are several ways we communicate the registrations times and dates, but in general, they begin in late May/Early June so be on the lookout before school gets out in the spring. Look on this website’s home page and/or soccer page for the registration times/locations. Look on the Channel 6 community access channel. Look for handouts from your children that are passed out at school. Look on the school/old town hall message boards. Late Registration usually begins in Mid July.

Q: How do I know my registration was received?

A: Please pay by check made out to the Weare Athletic Club or WAC. Your cancelled check is your receipt. If your check does not get cashed in a reasonable amount of time, please contact us to find out the status of your registration.

Q: Money is a bit tight, can you reduce or waive the registration fee?

A:In cases of hardship we will consider reducing or waiving the registration fee. In return we ask that you help out with the program. Lining the fields, working the concession stands and even refereeing are things we are always looking for.

Q:I’m new to town and just found out about the Weare Athletic Club, but the registration deadline has passed, do I need to pay the late registration fee?

A:No, if you are new to town, if you explain the situation to us we will waive the late registration fee. However remember, while we will do our best to accommodate all registrants, a late registration does not guarantee a spot on a team.

Q: I forgot to register before the late registration deadline, what do I do?

A: Please read follow the information / instructions below carefully to receive the quickest consideration for late registrations:

PLEASE provide an e-mail address that you check frequently. Send in your late registration (in duplicate) to either the WAC P.O. Box or the soccer director directly, as soon as possible with a check for the regular registration amount plus a $10 late registration fee. If you register late and do not include a late fee (exceptions noted above), your registration will be returned. A late registration does not guarantee a spot on a team. If we cannot place your child on a team your registration fee will be refunded.

If your registration arrives BEFORE we have our coaches meeting which is usually in Early to Mid August:

If there are no spots open, you will be placed on a wait list we will e-mail you to let you know. If players withdraw and a spot opens up, we will contact you.

If we are able to assign your child to a team he will be notified by his coach when practices start.

If your registration arrives AFTER we have our coaches meeting which is usually in Early to Mid August:

If there are no spots open, you will be placed on a wait list. We will e-mail you to let you know. If players withdraw and a spot opens up, we will contact you.

If spots are available when your registration is processed, you will be forwarded via E-Mail, a list of coaches have not yet indicated that their teams are closed to new registrations. It will then be up to you to contact the coaches to find one who is willing to take your child.

If you find a coach willing to place your child on his/her team:

Your coach must e-mail/contact the soccer director that you have been accepted on his/her team. You must make a third copy of the registration form to take to your coach at your first practice or game. We will try to keep the coach list as updated as possible, but just because a coach is on the list does not mean they are still accepting registrations. Also please understand they are NOT required to accept your late registration. We will do our best to accommodate everyone as best we can but remember there is no guarantee that we can place your child on a team. Registrations recieved after teams have been selected are at the discretion of the coaches, We will do our best to accommodate everyone. Late registrations are not necessarily first come, first served.

Q: My Son/Daughter had decided to withdraw. Can I get a refund?

A: Yes we will refund a registration fee if you decide to withdraw from the program. E-mail us a request with the name and address that you wish to have the refund sent to. NOTE: Please try to withdraw as soon as possible. It is difficult to estimate team sizes if people wait until the last minute to withdraw, so try to plan accordingly. The Middle School Teams don’t make their selections until very late so this is at times unavoidable. In cases where you may be considering other options for fall sports for your kids, do all the teams a favor, and make the decision as soon as you can.

Q: Are Late Registrations and Late Withdrawals a pain to deal with?

A: Why yes, in fact they are, Thank you for asking. We will however do our best to accomodate.
